A seven part series of stories on the plight of the gray whale. Project consisted of gathering visual information from a variety of sources, from a fishing village in Baja California to the Makah Indian reservation in Washington to Alaska and then whaling villages in Arctic Russia.

Challenges: Communicating with writers and source outside the country. Acquiring visual from academic and scientific sources that were both informational as well as appealing.
